Golf Tips - The Proper Golf Stance

2016/7/19 11:22:57

The Address

The address position is active and lively. Your feet should be shoulder width apart and you should be balanced from side and front to back.

Allow the length of the club and the length of your arm when extended to reach the ground. A tilt from the waist is necessary to establish the proper swing shape.

The knees are slightly flexed. In a good address position, you should be free of any restricting tension.

The Alignment

A line across your feet should run parallel to the line of flight (the line from the ball to the target). If the line across your feet is slightly to the left or right of the target, you will still be able to swing the club head freely away and toward the target. However, any extremes in the alignment will make it difficult to develop a consistent free swing toward the target. *
