Getting Rid Of Those Awkward Golf Shots

2016/7/20 16:29:48

For some of us, awkward golf shots come way too often. Shots that leave you wondering how on earth you're going to stay balanced enough to hit the ball. Shots that aren't as simple as the instruction videos make them appear. Lets look at some ways to handle some of these awkward golf shots.

This article is filled with exciting tips, so be sure to read everything carefully if your want to rid of those awkward shots.

If you have to make an awkward shot, first think about how you can swing while keeping your balance and without moving your head. Secondly, think of the line your club head moves along.

Before assuming your stance, think about how you want the club head to travel for the maximum distance along a straight line. Note that the ball is in contact with the club head for several inches. After a few training swings you will notice what relation your feet have with this line and then determine your stance.

When you are about to hit the ball, don't sway from one leg to another. When you are about to swing, look to see if you're having difficulties maintaining your balance. If so, keep changing your position until you feel comfortable and are confident there wont be any stiffness in your swing. You mind and muscles should be as free as possible during the swing. Also, make sure you keep your feet still. If you move your weight from one leg to another as you hit the ball, you will most likely not see the ball clearly enough.

No matter what kind of shot you are attempting, make sure you control your effort so you can actually see the ball from the start until you hit it. Don't shift your gaze, not even for a second. Then you'll not have any difficulties striking the ball and getting those awkward golf shots.

Your swing won't be stiff, or back too far or too short and the ball won't be hit too soon. Remember, don't look up or shift your gaze until your club head hits the ball. If you have a hard shot to make, put your mind on just watching the ball. Keep practising this and and you'll soon master it.

Here's a final tip.

The shorter the shot the closer your feet needs to be brought together. The key is not to hit the ball as hard as you can. If you hit the ball to hard when you first meet with the club, it will bounce away faster. This reduces your distance.

Awkward golf shots plague every golfer from time to time. Learn the basics of controlling them, and you'll be playing with more confidence and lowering your score significantly.

Share the information that you have learned with your friends and family. They will be impressed by your knowledge and happy to learn how they too can get rid of awkward golf shots.
