Golf Tips - Putting Under Pressure

By now, I'm sure you understand the importance of good putting, if lowering your score is your goal.

Under pressure, even otherwise good putters sometimes run into trouble, especially when faced with the dreaded 3 to 4 footer. The reason for trouble typically comes as a result of unnecessary body movement during the course of the putting stroke.

With this in mind, practice this length putt with emphasis placed on keeping the entire body perfectly still except for the hands, arms, and shoulders. This sounds easy, but if you are guilty of the above 'unnecessary body movement', you'll be surprised at how much concentration is needed at first to keep the body still during a purely hand, arms and shoulder putting stroke.

Work with it for a while - I promise you positive results.
