How To Choose The Right Golf Training Program For You

2016/7/20 16:13:09

Golf is not an inexpensive hobby. Since you are going to spend a fair amount of money to golf and buy the equipment you need, why not spend a little bit more and get some formal instruction?

If you are new to golf, I urge you to get some sort of beginner golf instruction. To get better faster, and spend less time on the course frustrated, look into finding a golf training program or lessons that fit your budget, time constraints, and learning style.

Golf isn't easy to master. Getting instruction will make it easier. Learn the correct way to play from the start so you have more success, more fun, and have fewer bad habits to break later.

Let's look at some of the golf instruction possibilities.

You can take private lessons which usually lasts 30 - 60 minutes. Prices vary considerably depending on the teacher's qualifications and the golf facility. Expect to pay from a low end of $25 per session to over $100 per session. Often, you can get a discount if you sign up for a block of lessons.

Some community colleges offer continuing education courses, and you might find reasonable golf instruction lessons there. The instruction won't be as personalized as private lessons but it will be a good deal. A group setting can be more fun, more social and you might meet some fellow golfers that play at your level you can golf with.

There are golf school or clinics where you can go for a day, a weekend, or longer. This will be an intensive golf training program. One of the down sides is there is no follow-up help once you get back home. And can be information overload, making it hard to process and remember what you learned.

There is lot of excellent golf instruction online. There are instructional ebooks, DVDs, and video golf lessons. Some of the benefits of this type of golf instruction is that you own the material forever, you can watch it repeatedly, and refer to it whenever you need to. Look for an online golf instruction program that includes a forum or email consultations where you can get your questions answered by a golf professional.

If you decide a program isn't working for you, you can easily get a refund, something I wouldn't count on with golf pro lessons! There are many sites where you can get free golf lessons, tips, and articles.

However you decide to learn how to improve your golf game, remember to relax and enjoy. Golf can be a healthy, life-long hobby you will always love
