Lower Your Handicap At The David L. Baker Golf Course

Located in the heart of Orange County, David L Baker Golf Course is a par 62 medium length course that can lower your score. How? With a combination of tight fairways, short par threes, and plenty of hazards, this course is perfect for tightening up on your accuracy and short game.

David Baker's par four holes are relatively short; none are over 320 yards. If you're a big hitter youall be tempted to take out the Ping or Callaway driver and go for the green. Of course this may be risk not worth taking

While the grip it and rip it method will work for those of us with accuracy, the tight fairways may convince some of us to go for method number two ia take out the 5 iron and give yourself a wedge into the green.

The iron followed by wedge approach on the par fours fits with the "improve your golf score" mantra that is part of the David L. Baker Golf Course philosophy. This approach also extends to the par threes where golfers will be able to further practice their iron play.

You probably know we drive for show and put for dough. So a good short game will help you lower your handicap.. Baker's par threes will let you work on your iron game no matter what your skill level is. You'll be able to reach the par threes with a seven iron or less so you'll be able to focus on your short game: pitching, chipping and putting.

Donat let the length of the par threes fool you. As much as you will be licking your chops as you pull out your Ping and Callaway Golf drivers on the par fours, you will also be dying to get a chance at sticking it close on a short par three.

The good news is that this is another chance for you to practice the short game. Feeling comfortable staring down a water hazard or being confident that you can get out of a sand trap in one is an important part of playing golf. Staying dry and avoiding the beach is the best way to cut several strokes off of your golf score.

There is no shortage of obstacles on the course. Golfers can take advantage of the course design and practice shots they wouldnat normally have on a larger course. Practice leads to lower scores and golfer will watch their handicaps drop while having fun playing 18 at the David L. Baker Golf Course.
