What to Do at the South Jersey Shore

The Jersey Shore is a 127 mile coastal stretch that spans from Sandy Hook in the north to Cape May in the south. The southern half of the shore has many attractions that will keep individuals of all ages well entertained. Beaches

The South Jersey Shore has great beaches. These beaches offer all type of summer activities, from volleyball games and surfing to beach barbeques and sand castles. The only thing to keep in mind is that most of the beaches have an entrance fee. So check the fee and whether entry for kids is free before you head out. Also, check pet policies before taking your dog along.

In addition to the beaches, the South Jersey Shore has many other attractions. The key attraction is the Cape May peninsula. This peninsula lies lower that the rest of the county between the Atlantic Ocean and Delware. The change in climatic conditions has given it its own unique ecological environment from flora to fauna. It is a great place to experience nature at its finest.

Go bird watching for the osprey or go canoeing easily. The peninsula is dotted with campgrounds, which allow you to experience different aspects of the region from the mountain peaks to the basin.

Ocean City

Ocean City has one of the best beaches in Jersey. It also has an excellent broadwalk full of shops and amusement areas that will keep you on your toes. It is a great place to enjoy sun, sand, surf and food with the entire family.

The Wildwoods

The Wildwoods is home to many an amusement park. You can cool off on a hot summer day by visiting the Raging Water or Ocean Oasis water park. If want a bit of culture you can visit the historic district.

As you can see there is much to do and see at the South Jersey Shore. The variety of attractions make it suitable for individuals of ages and groups of all types. From families with young children to college groups looking to relax during the summer.
