The Boca Chica in Panama is a wonderful place for anyone who is intersted by diving and exploring marine life. From whale sighting and diving to fishing and kayaking this area offers it all. It has an abundance of wildlife, coral reefs and has several marine parks for you to visit and explore.

One of the most wonderful things about this country is that it has something spectacular to offer you irrespective of the kind of natural terrain and setting you are looking for. Boca Chica is a quiet little village on the Western coast of Panama, about an hour抯 drive from David. If you are driving in from Boquete, then it will take you about two hours to get here.

Boca Chica sits on an archipelago of over an hundred islands. It is one of the world抯 hottest sports for sport fishing. This area offers plenty of fishing lodges and even a five star sports fishing lodge.

Boca Chica will be your base for your explorations in the seas and beaches around the village. There is plenty to do so get set for some world class diving, snorkeling, kayaking and kayaking. This is also the place to visit for whale watching. The best time to visit the area is from December to April, and is this is the ideal time for diving. What to Do

Take a guided and escorted tour of the National Maritime Park at Coiba Island. The Park covers over of over 300,000 hectares and includes many uninhabited islands. These islands also boast of an extensive coral reef network. It is home to howler monkeys, many types of crocodiles, lizards, hawksbill turtles, tiger herons and an enormous species of others birds. You can go snorkeling, watch for whales or relax on the clean beaches, and even plan to spend a night at the park. The waters around the island are considered to be amongst the best for diving and are rich in fish and marine life.?Divers claim that visibility in these waters ranges from 60 to 80 feet.?

The Parque Nacional Marino Golfo de Chiriqui is a marine park on the Isla Boca Brava. The park covers 25 islands that have an abundance of wildlife and also protects 19 coral reefs. If you want to see Humpback, Pilot and Sperm Whales, this is the best place for the opportunity.

A new marina is being built at Boca Chica and should be completed by the end of 2009. This will make this area easily accessible by yachts and other vessels. The area is being developed well for tourism but with a keen eye on the ecological consequences. Here a large reforestation effort is on, to ensure that the natural setting that attracts visitors is left relatively undisturbed. The real estate in this area is an n excellent investment opportunity for both locals as well as foreigners.
