There are many hobbies that we can take up and some of them are popular for other people. One that is rare and hard to do is ice diving.

When we think of crazy things to do we normally think about sky diving or maybe even white water rafting. One thing that we don抰 normally picture ourselves doing is plunging into freezing water!

Ice diving is just like scuba diving except that it is below freezing and the creatures are immensely unique. Though not a lot of people have the wish to do this it is still a common pursuit. In order to do this successfully and safely you need to have the proper equipment on hand.

Wet Suit

The wet suit will be one of the most important things that you have secured to you when below the water. This is made to extend over your whole body except for your head and hands. You should acquire a hood and gloves for this. The suit is designed to keep your body completely dry and a little warm. Still, the majority of individuals will still have to put on some layers beneath it for increased warmth.

Regulator

While the wet suit serves to keep your nice and warm the regulator is used to keep you breathing while under the water. This comes with a big oxygen tank that is fastened to your back. The air is presented to you through a scuba mask that is situated across your mouth. These are quite costly - but they are designed to give you the measure of air you require for various kinds of dives.

Scuba Mask

The mask is one of the most low-cost ice diving equipment that you will need. Still, you must be meticulous about what you pick out. Make sure that it fits smoothly - but not too tightly. This is going to be your eyes while under the surface so you will be able to see where you swim and take in the beauty that is round you.
