2016/7/26 17:10:12

Excited, yeah? It is quite obvious! You are finally done with scuba diving certification course and got the license. Now that you have worked so hard and you are feeling confident enough, go and dive into your dream ocean! But before you leave your house to fulfil your dream, you need to do a lot of homework and prepare a few things. Let us scan through the list of things you need to arrange to get ready before you take the first step out of your house for your dream dive. Here we go for the fantastic four preparations:

  1. Selecting the best location

The first thing you will want to do for planning your scuba vacation is to decide the location. Of course there must be some place where you have always wished to go, but there are other factors to check out before finalizing the destination. The factors include water condition, depth of the water, visibility under water, temperature of the water as well as the wild life. Consider all these points before choosing your diving destination. Moreover, ask an expert who has considerable amount of experience in diving. Ask few necessary questions like how often storm occurs and also look for the dive stores there. If the place is safe and popular enough, there has to be several dive stores there.

  1. Checking your scuba gear equipment

Well, it is advisable to check your scubapro diving equipment before you pack it. Pack the wetsuit, fins, buoyancy compensator device, weight belt, scuba tanks, regulator, suunto dive computer, prescription dive mask and snorkel as well as shears. Get it all inspected by professionals so that they can guide you if anything is defected or not working properly. Once you they approve, pack all these things in your bag.

  1. Listing out the ‘Do not forget' things

Do not forget to pack the following things into a water proof container:

  • Passport, dive insurance, diving license, certificates
  • The ‘extras' of all the equipments that are necessary
  • Charge the equipments fully that run on battery and take an extra battery
  • Safety kit that contains things like signal flags
  • Medications like travel sickness tablets as well as the first aid kits

  1. Checking if you are ready; physically as well as mentally

It is advisable to visit a doctor and diving specialist or a professional once before you go for diving. Scuba is not recommended for the people with physical or mental illness. One must be physically fit and mentally prepared for that. So, go and get yourself checked up by a doctor. If you are physically fit, prepare your mind for the worst case scenarios and tell yourself you will handle the worst conditions and survive. Follow the well known quote ‘Prepare for the best, but expect the worst'.

Once you are done with the above mentioned things, you are all set for the mind blowing diving experience. Have a happy and a safe dive! Good luck!
