The Sipadan Island is one of the most beautiful places on earth. But, besides that, it is seen as the divers' paradise. If you are considering a trip to this Malaysian island, you surely love diving under clear waters or at least you want to try this amazing experience that will bring you many satisfactions.

To be sure you've got everything you need for a diving trip to the Sipadan Island, here is a list that can give you an idea on what to pack:

  1. Important papers. If you are a professional diver it is a good idea to bring your certifications with you. Moreover, like with any other trip to a foreign country, going to this island requires you to have your passport and your travel insurance too. If you've already paid for the accommodation, don't forget to bring all the papers from the traveling agency that prove this.
  2. Equipment. Even though you can find scuba diving equipment to rent on the spot, if you have your own bring it on, because this way you can enjoy your vacation without having to worry about such details. So, you will need your own wetsuit, the scuba diving mask, the dive regulator and other accessories like a whistle, a compass, a buoyancy control device and so on. Remember that if you do not have your own equipment or simply do not want to carry it, you can find it for rent on the nearby islands.
  3. Camera. You wouldn't want to forget your camera. You will want to immortalize everything you see, because everything is so breathtaking that one picture is not enough. You will get the chance to see wonderful things on land and in the depths of the water, things that you cannot see anywhere else on earth. So, be prepared to delight your eyes and show off to your friends once you get back home.
  4. Lots of energy. This is not the time to sleep and rest. Going on a diving trip to Sipadan Island is not for lazy people. There is no point in traveling such a long distance if you do not want to enjoy the beautiful landscape and see the amazing underwater flora and fauna. You should know that, if diving is not your thing, there is plenty to see on the island for you too. However, you should give diving a try. You will certainly change your mind and it will become your favorite hobby. Now, even if you do need lots of energy for a vacation on the island, expect to go back home with your batteries fully recharged; in addition to everything you get the chance to see, you will breathe only fresh air. The Sipadan Island is not polluted and everything is preserved in its natural state.

These are the most important things you need to bring with you, but, to make sure that you are not missing anything, you should ask you travel agent or the personnel from the resort. They can give you priceless advice on how to make your visit to the Sipadan Island as pleasant as possible.
