A Rundown of Scuba Diving Gear

Man cannot breathe underwater so if you intend upon going scuba diving there are various pieces of scuba diving gear you will need. The shark that catches you and sinks its teeth into your flesh will have different uses for your scuba diving gear than you will but as the shark starts to bite, you will be thankful that you have your scuba diving gear so that if the shark leaves any part of your body behind you have all of this wonderful scuba diving gear to make sure you have a chance of dragging what remains of your carcass up onto the beach so that the locals can scream in horror while at the same time admiring your nice looking scuba diving gear.

The first piece of scuba diving gear you will need is a wetsuit. This is a thermally designed piece of protective clothing that protects you from the temperature changes in the water but does nothing to protect you from the sharp teeth of the shark as it bites down into your flesh. The shark refers to the wetsuit as a minor inconvenience or they have also been known to refer to wetsuits as wrappers. Probably the red wetsuit is one piece of scuba diving gear you will want to avoid as anything that draws attention to you down in the deep ocean is probably a really bad idea.

Breathing And Swimming

The next piece of scuba diving gear you will need is referred to as fins. These are the web like pieces of footwear you use to navigate around the ocean as you scuba dive and they are also the last two things your diving partners will see flailing around before the shark takes you deeper into the ocean. Fins make it easier to move fast in the ocean but let’s not kid ourselves, you aren’t out running a shark.

Next is what is referred to as the mask. The mask is what you will use to keep the water out of your eyes so you can see the shark coming before it bites down into your leg or torso. The mask is designed with a flimsy rubber flap around it and this is used to create a seal around the mask so the water does not get in and prevent your eyes from seeing the shark. Salt water can be bad for the eyes so make sure you learn how to properly seal your mask before you dive.

The last important piece of your scuba diving gear, besides your air tank, is your regulator. The regulator is what allows the air in the tank to pass through to your lungs so that you stay alive in the water just long enough to watch the shark bite into your leg or torso. The air hose from the tank hooks up to the regulator and then you place the regulator in your mouth for breathing.
