Defensive positioning...infield standard or up

Question
Situation:   Pony leauge, 13& 14 yr olds 2/3 of which played Tournament, jr. high, AAU ball. You are losing 8-4 in the bottom of the 5th of a 7 inning game(you'll get 2 more at bats). Your opponent has bases loaded with one out, their #7 hitter in an 11 kid lineup is at bat. Would you poition your infield at standard depth or bring them in, and if in, how much?...would you hold the runner on 3rd?...it,s a dry hard infield...Would your decision change if it were bottom of the 6th or if it were there #2 or 3 hitter up?...at what score would you position them differently?
  Thankyou

Answer
You already need a big inning or two small rallies to catch up.  You need to get your offense on the field.

Corners even with the bag and within easy reach of the line
with the middle infield at DP depth.

I would not change this for thge 6th inning or with a #2 or 3 hitter.  You need the outs.

Best of luck.

Pete
