do u have to be a lefty to drag bunt..? please write back..

Well, it's called a drag bunt because you're basically pulling the ball by bunting it so that the ball trails you along the base line. And of course, for that to happen, you almost have to be a lefty.

This is not to say that right handers can't bunt for base hits! There are plenty that do quite successfully. Naturally, you need speed for that, plus the ability to bunt (which is not an easy task). Takes lots of practice, but can be learned.

So, being a lefty certainly has an advantage in this area, since that batter's box is closer to the 1st base line. But with well placed bunts, a speedy right hander can get a lot of base hits that way.
