Improving strength for batting
Question
My daughter is 16 and is a high competitive softball player. Her downfall is the need for more strength at the plate. Needs to power it through a little more. Any suggestions?
Answer
Hey Lorne,
One of the best things that you can do for your daughter is get a medicine ball (4-8 pounds) and work on rotational movements - twisting lunges, standing twists, rotational throws, etc... This will help develop the rotational power necessary to bring the bat through the strike zone faster.
