allstar selection

Question
my local little league only allows 12's to play on its major allstar team. is that the rule or does my 11 year old son have the option of trying out for the team? must he play on the 11 year old team?

The league board of directors determines the structure of its all star teams and how they are selected.  If your board of directors have decided that they will only take those players league age 12 and place them on the Little League All Star team, they can do that.  The All Star selection process should be written down with your league's bylaws and you should be able to request them.
