Roster rules

Question
I have a player that has not played in 4-weeks due to discipline from his parents. The father has told me that he will return once his grades improve. I notified the Board of my intent to draft a player up from the minor league a several weeks ago and was told that I could not drop the player from my roster for discipline reasons. The end of the season is now here and I'm being told by the president that they are dropping the player and that I need to draft a player. Is there a time line or rule that stipulates when a player is illegible and when he is not? At this point in time drafting a kid would ruin his season...we only have 2 and 1/2 weeks of play left.

Answer
Juan,

Some leagues will stipulate a deadline of when players can be moved to another team. Little League Baseball says that a player may not be moved after June 1st.  If your Board of Directors votes to remove the one player and add the other they can do that.

I hope this has helped.
