Switching throwing hand!

Question
My left handed year old son wants nothing more then to play shortstop or catcher and no couch will use him in those positions. When used in those positions during practice or filling in, he is better then there starting SS(shortstop) and catcher.  He is an outstanding fielder, in and out.  My husband tells he never play the infield unless he has a growth spurt and then they will put him on 1st.  I tell my son you want to play SS or catch learn to throw with your right hand, my husband says that is a set back.  Is it to late or should I continue to fight for him to play SS or catch or make him understand that the outfield is banishment?

Answer
I would say that the coaches are right. I believe if it is something he wants to do then he needs to ask himself how hard is he willing to work. is he willing to spend 30 min a day working on it. i also think u should get him to notice how many great big league players are outfielders.
