Question
I thought you might have some insight so I wanted to pick your brain on this.  My son is 9 and played in the 9's for a USSSA team.  The team is an AA team and we did pretty well - top 7 on power ranking for the state.  He batted .260 avg and played 2nd mainly and some in the outfield.  Overall it was a good year for him.

He enjoys his team but he is still eligible to play in the 9's next year.  We've played up the last 2 years for travel ball.  Next year the base length stays the same but pitching moves back a couple of feet.

He batted spots 6-8 on our team of 11 players.  He is fairly small and probably doesn't have the arm yet to play on SS or 3rd.  My question is would you advise him to play in the 9's next year with a team that is moving up from the 8's or stay with his current team and play 10's next year?

Answer
Well I do not personanlly know your son or his playing ability.  However, my first tendency is to always play up if you can....He will excel & force himself to play to others ability naturally.....

He needs to play w/ bigger, stronger, & faster players then he will accelerate his own abilities.....

Good luck....Great question.  If this helped please rate me positively, if not, then let me know back.....Thanks, Andy
