Path to Professional Baseball: Training, Eligibility & NCAA Clearinghouse
Question
Im 23 years old and i havnt played baseball since 10th grade.im talented and in trainable shape.i work full time and i dont know if i have any college elgibility left to play baseball.i am determined to find out what i must do to give myself the opportunity to play pro baseball.please help?

If you are looking to play in college first (which would be a very good idea) you need to apply to the NCAA clearinghouse. You can get to their web site at: https://web1.ncaa.org/eligibilitycenter/student/index_student.html
They will let you know if you are eligible.
You can also go to open MLB tryouts. The web site with all the information is: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/about_mlb/tryout_club.jsp
Most importantly is to go get evaluated by a professional instructor, make sure this person has played at a very high level. They can give you an honest answer if you can play at this level or if you should focus elsewhere.
