Little League Pitching Rules: Overhand vs. Underhand & Windmill
Question
Can a little league player pitch underhand and if so, is the windmill
style allowed (as opposed to stopping the arm in a vertical position
prior to the pitch)?
Answer
Steve,
I am not sure if their is a rule as to how a pitcher may pitch. I have never see a player pitch like this or want to pitch like this. I would recommend that the player throe the traditional overhand style. I don't believe the under hand style would be effective when he gets older and is pitching from the 60ft 6in distance.
