QUESTION: Hits and errors in relation to what and how? Can you please expand by way of examples.

Answer
Colin,
What we're talking about is a cumulative total for each team for each of the three categories (Runs, Hits, Errors).

For example...
        R   H  E
Team #1  6  10  3
Team #2  8  12  1

In the example above, Team #1 scored 6 runs, while collecting 10 hits.  Their defense made three fielding errors.  Team #2 scored 8 runs, while collecting 12 hits.  Their defense made only 1 fielding error.  Like I said these numbers are tallied throughout the game, so the above example could be an on going tally or if the game is over, a final tally.

I hope this clears it up a bit.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.

Donovan
