Brunswick wild thing..color bleed

Question
Hiya,I use a Brunswick Wildthing reactive ball, and i have noticed when cleaning my ball the red color tends to be on the cloth afterwards...is this normal??..i have used both ball cleaners and methylated spirit to try and remove the oil it seems to soak up...but was concerned about the color bleed...am i killing the coverstock??

Answer
Roger,
Not sure if color bleed is normal for that ball, your ball or any red bowling ball. I'd suggest that the recommended cleaner be used, not methylated spirit. Harsh commercial chemicals may adversely effect the ball (more than just the discoloration).

Wiping the ball with a micro fiber towel, cleaning it after every series with Brunswick's recommended cleaner and freshening the coverstock to maintain the texture and oil free surface every 50 or 60 games should allow the ball to perform well and last longer. Don't overdo.

Caustic or dangerous won't make the cleaning any more effective. Thanks for the question good luck with your WildThing. Good bowling.
