My speed is around 15mph depending on oil outside of ten board.I also roll at a synthetic house , with heavy oil,I can slow down but get no carry, is there a new ball that I can get set up like my LT48 with a like roll or are those days gone. CJ, What the hell, okay I will calm down...give me a sec!!! Okay, LT48,Johnny Petraglia, Rubber or Reactive ball...Okay. Lem'me breath one more time... Now, let's do this! Great ball, lightbulb core, kind of big inside. It had the Brunswick power koil cover that I read up on and I loved that cover on the Rampage! They used that core in the Rhino Pro or the Danger Zone line of bowling balls. Today the closest you will get to that on the Brunswick side of the house is the "Avalanche". You are in luck because they have an Avalanche that turns, and Avalanche that goes long.

My recommendation outside of Brunswick is the "Fast" bowling ball by Storm. Lastly, let me go one better by suggesting Storm's newest line of bowling balls, the Tropical "Heat" bowling balls! OMG! This years bowling ball selections for a lot of companies are very good for 2010!

Now remember CJ, I am just going by what you said!!! You want to get you out of the retro and into the modern day era. You'll have to lace'm up and try one of them out. The numbers on the LT48 were big numbers. Todays game and a little progression of time we don't need all that.

This brings us to another point to consider. If you have not rejuvenated the cover of your ball in a long time then, ohhhh no, its not going to hook for you at all. Just take it to the proshop and have it reconditioned. If it's a reactive ball, cool! If it's a rubber ball,.... well just ask the guys at the pro shop. (smile)

I want you to check out www.Bowlingball.com.  They have some great deals on bowling balls. You can go by your local pro shop and get your ball's exact weight. While you are there, you can also get your bowling ball's top weight. They will need that to help you select what's right for you.

In summary: First, get your bowling ball rejuvenated. Then if you really want to get a bowling ball that is up to date, check out the Brunswick Avalanche series, and the Storm Tropical "HEAT" series bowling balls that are on the market today. Remember to get your bowling ball specs from the pro shop prior to any purchase. That way you will know if you are getting a 15 pound ball or a 15 pound ball that almost weighs 16 pounds! That is not good, unless that is what you want.
