Speed

Question
I will be going into my senior year of high school next year, and I wanna play either running back or defensive back. I'm 16 now, 180lbs. I'm working out, trying to lose fat and put on muscle. My question though is: How do I get faster as a football player, especially for the position that i want to play? How can I add more speed?

Answer
Hello Ike,

If you can, invest in a sprinter's parachute. If not, then find a hill in your area and run sprints up the hill. You also would like to strengthen your legs with squats. Preferably on a squat machine, so you can roll up to your toes when lifting.

Thank you,

Coach Anderson
