Can you tell me about the wide receiver letterings and what they do?
I just joined and im very confused. We were running plays and i just stood out and watched, they were basic wide receiver plays. Can you explain to me the basic plays?

Wide receiver lettering? It differs from each team for what the lettering means. But the lettering reads just like the routes, from left to right. If there are three wide outs on the field, the play may be called, slot left-I-237 pass. Depending on each teams "passing tree",
the the first receiver to the left runs the 2 route which could be a hook, the next receiver from the left will run the 3 route which could be the out route, and the next receiver will run the 7 route which could be the fly or fade. Ask your coaches about their designated passing routes.
