American football and what its all about

My husband is an American football nut!  He lives and breathes the game.  I know NOTHING about football and it is apparent that my husband just finds my questions irritating.  I think I might have sounded cute for about an hour or so ... but the clock has run out on "cute."  I want to be enthusiastic about football too -- let's face it -- people fill stadiums to watch it and I want to cheer at the "right" time and not during the replays ;-( I need someone to teach me all about football.  Is there a "Football for Dummies" or something like that where I could learn at my own speed?  I'm thinking a video tutorial might be helpful.

There is a football for dummies book, but it may end up being more information than you need.  Here is this website, "Football for Wives", that seems to have some pretty good information on it.  It's divided in to sections at the top left.
