O line in the fly offense

Question
QUESTION: I am a high school football coach from CA, this is my second year coaching in the fly and i wanted your advice on coaching my lineman. Should i have them track block using a lead step or a cross over step?? Do you have any other advice our resources that will help my lineman become more succeful??
ANSWER: Dear Coach Brett,
I would have them track block using a lead step. If you are looking for a better blocking system I would read,

"ATTACKING FOOTBALL DEFENSE WITH RADAR BLOCKING" by Leo Hand.

If you are looking for techniques and drills for your linemen, I would read,

"PLAY FOOTBALL THE NFL WAY" by Tom Bass

The great thing about the fly offense is, that all that your linemen have to do is get in the way of your opponents for your offense to be successful. I would block it just like any other play in my play book.

I hope I answered your question however, if I did not please feel free to ask a follow-up question. I will be happy to help in any way I can.

Are you looking for a way to block the Fly sweep? Or are you looking to improve you linemen technique?

If you are looking for a way to block the Fly Sweep, just have all your play side linemen reach block the defense.

If you would like, give me your SCHOOL phone number and I will call you and walk you through it step by step.

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ME YOUR HOME PHONE NUMBER UNLESS YOU WANT EVERYONE ON THIS WEBSITE TO CALL YOU AT HOME.
