Special Teams Instructors

Hi Coach,

I am a Long Snapper in my second year of college. I recently competed in a Long Snapping competition in my state (Illinois) and I took first place. I am now traveling to Las Vegas to compete for the national spot. I would like to fine tune my snapping before this competition in January 2007 but I cannot find any private instructors in Illinois! Do you have any information that could help me locate an instructor?

First off, congrats on taking 1st place in the competition.  Thats great.  Good long snappers are valuable pieces, and its rare to find a good one.

Unfortunately, because of that fact, finding someone who instructs in it is hard, and I wouldnt know who you could go to for help.  

Now, I want to get one thing straight... Are you currently playing ball in college or no?  IF yes, is your current special teams coach not good enough of an instructor?  If you are playing now, what do your coaches say about getting help from outside of the staff? DO they have any suggestions?

I would like to know the above, so get back to me with that info.  In the meantime, I will do a little research for you and try to find some help in this area.
