Question
QUESTION: I've measure myself for the shoulder pads and i'm at 34" and that the highest number for small should i go up to a medium?

ANSWER: Noah,

Thanks for the follow-up question.  Well, if you are over 50 years old, then I would stay with the small one.  If you are not 50 years old, then I recommend that you get the next size up.  This way you will grow into them.  The problem is, there is not custom fit shoulder manufacture out there in the industry.

So if the small is on the highend and you feel you might grow a little bit, then I recommed going with the next size up.

Good luck, hoped this helped.

QUESTION: do I go the same way with the pants in sizing go up since I'm a teenager

Answer
Noah,

Yes, that's exactly correct.  Why?  The pants should be a little bigger (not to big) to allow you the freedom of movement.  Make sure you invest in suspenders.  Plus, I recommend a "Cup Combo", this way you will not have to wear a girly garter belt to hold up your socks.

When you size your shin pads, make sure you take your skates with you or use a pair at the proshop to size the chin pad.  That pad should come down to help connect the chin pad and the top of the skate boot so there is no gap on the sides.

Last, I recommend that you invest in a "Change on the Fly" helmet.  Trust me, they are a little bit more expensive, but the cost savings in time and lost screws will save you...big time!

Hope this helps.
