Question
hey id like to become a hockey player....we all think we can play.the question i have is has there ever been someone who can stop top players in there tracks,,,,,,6 months or so with me in training and im a grat investment.......thanks for your time.

Answer
Jean,

Thanks for writing.  You can become whatever you want.  However, skill level is directly proportional to how much ice time you get.  The more ice, the better skill level.  If you would like to get to the next level, you will have to skate every day for at least an hour for 6 months, to get to the next level.

Now depending on your age, you can accomplish this in no time.  But, if you are 16 and you have never played before, the odds are not in your favor.  But, it can be done.  Anything can be done.  If you are going to start tomorrow, then you have to first work on your balance, edge work, balance, shooting, balance, passing, balance, checking, balance, scoring, balance...oh did I mention BALANCE!  80% of hockey is skating!  80% of skating is balance.

This is the most important thing.  But that comes with time, which means...ice time!

Hope this helps
