Self-Rotating Ice Skates Problem

Question
Hi, I just bought a new pair of skates, which is size 39 (I wear 40 in sport shoes), and it my second time skating in them. I have notice whenever I stand on my right foot, I automatically start to move left. I normally balance well on my right foot, and this didn't happen to my left foot. Although I have flat feet, I did use and arc support shoe sole and bought a smaller size, I have no problems with other skates I tried. Can you please help me?

Answer
Hi Rachel...

Are you referring to ICE skates or roller blade type skates?
And when you say you "stand on my right foot" are you already moving or standing still?

Let me know and I can maybe help you more?

Thanks

Have fun - BE safe!
