college ball

Question
Hi Nick. I am Myles and I will be attending school in Southern California this fall. There are a few things I would like to ask. In high school I played Loosehead Prop primarily and captained the team this past season. My experience level is that of maybe an intermediate/advanced player, I go out every week to touch to work on handling and conditioning along with lifting 6 days of the week.

The thing is at college, I really want to take my game to the next level. I am 5'10/5'11 on a good day and hovering around 235-240. I have been told that I'm a bit undersized as a prop but a pretty good size for a hooker. So all in all I've been working on trying to pick up the skills needed as a hooker: mobility, handling, leading. The things I've been struggling on are throw-ins: how do I make the ball go faster? I see pro lineouts and they look like quarterback throws.  I guess I'm trying to start freshmen year (gotta dream big) and any tips to help me position wise, fitness wise, overall wise would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Myles - surf You Tube as much as you can for techniques and approach local senior Mens Clubs of good quality for combined team runs or go along to their training.

You are welcome to come along and get technique tips from our pre-season training in So Cal -
