Mastering Lineout Throws: A Guide for Young Rugby Players

Hi, I am from Singapore and I am 14 years old. Recently I
joined a Rugby club in Singapore and I've been playing a
loosehead prop for about 1-2 training sessions. But it has
been extremely hard for me to progress as I am one of the
youngest. My coach has suggested that I become a hooker. I
was fine with as the hooking of the ball in the scrum would
be easy but I found the throwing hard. Could anyone tell me
the correct method to throw a lineout ball?

Hello Andre

I highly suggest using You Tube to search for video that is done by professional coaches and players. Look at a fewl but try to make notes and get 4 - 6 simle point to remember. Work on getting each point done correctly.

Note hoe he breaks down all the little movements. Keep it simple and practice A LOT!!!!!
