Blindside flanking

Question
Ive been playing blindside flank since we started full 8 scrummaging, but my partner at openside is bigger then me hight wise but im fitter, stonger then him we've discussed about swapping places but at 6 im more more in control of my play as I have been there for such a long time. But his running with the ball and pick and drives are better then mine, and my tackling is ace compared to his, im also better in rucks but he is better in mauls etc, any answer's to this 'problem' Cheers.

Answer
Hi Tomski,

Ask if your partner would like to play "left and right" side flanker. That way you each get a go at blind side or open. There is no rule against it and it can make a game more fun.

You can also take some time to be more aggressive with the pick and drives and running with the ball, you need to want it more.

Also make sure you are focusing on your game,  you and your partner might just be perfectly balancing each other out for the benefit of the team as a whole.
