Answer
Hi Phill,

Please read through my previous answered questions as I have answered one about training for flanker / #6. Also just a moment ago I answered a question about training and weight training.

Frankly it is had form me to tell you how to train without being there in person. I can only suggest working with a quality gym, qualified personal trainer, reading books by recognized trainers and working with your club.

If you are going to a club reach out to the coach and see if he can suggest a training routine and ask what he expects. See if a senior player in your position will take you under his wing as a training partner.

It is good to hear your injury is better, if you worked with a physical therapy specialist to mend it then that person might be worth consulting to get a place to start.

Sit down and write down your current status: weight, fitness level, strength, speed. Next set realistic goals and then set up a plan to reach those goals with "mile markers" along the way. Do this with someone who is experienced in training. Constantly educate yourself on the topic of traiing and look to update and upgrade your training levels along the way.

Good luck!
