Question about groin guard

2016/7/16 9:55:26

Question
Hi Nick,

May i know if the use of groin guards is legal in rugby union and whether its recommended to use them?

Thank you very much :)

Answer
I don't know if they are legal or not. You could probably have one and be ok but the truth is I have never heard of or seen someone wear one. In all my time playing rugby I think I can recall just one groin "injury" the guy walked it off and played on.
