Fair Playing Time in Fast Pitch Softball: A Coach's Perspective

In fast pitch softball shouldn't ever one have equal playing time? There is 14 girls on the team but some will only play 1 to 3 innings a game if that. My concern is there is no (I) in team.

It is difficult for a young player to always be sitting out a game, not a good way to build confidence.

Hi John,

I totally agree w/ you, especially under HS.  Girls should learn the game and winning or losing should be down the list.  This is a local problem, some address it to make it more even, but of course has this problem nothing to do with the national rules of the game.
