ASA fast pitch 14U intentional walk

Question
Is there any rule that prevents a pitch intended to create an intentional walk, to be made behind the batter? The purpose would be to gain an advantage should a player try to steal third with a right handed batter.

Answer
I would say no.  As long as the pitcher is not trying to hit the batter I don't have a problem with it.  As a coach, it doesn't make sense to me.

The catchers box in softball is as wide as the area of both batters boxes combined.  A catcher standing staight up behind the lefty's box, should have plenty of time to take one step forward and throw the runner out at third.  Seems safer than losing sight of the pitch as the catcher moves out past the batter to receive the pitch.
