10 and under class A versus class B

Question
How do I know what type of rules best suit our local softball league's 10 and under team?  Are we considered class A or B?  We have 1 team of 17 girls (mainly play other 10 and other teams in the area) and each league seems to come up with it's own exceptions to ASA rules.

Answer
Judith,

Unless you are a 10U select travel team, go with B.  Recreational leagues.  In our local recreational league for 10U, there is no stealing, no infield fly rule, no advancing on a dropped third strike.   Additionally we limit the number of batters to 10 per inning.  After the fourth ball we have a coach pitch.  At this time the batter can only go down swinging or get a hit.

I hope this helps.

Tom
