Slow Pitch Softball: Batting Lineup & Player Limits
Question
I am getting ready to manage my first men's league slow pitch team. I understand I can play 10 in the field. How many can I bat? How many would you recommend I bat?
Answer
Hi Dan,
You can bat 10 or 11 (any 10 can play defense)
If you bat 11 and have no subs and you get an injured or disqualified player you will take an out in that batting position. If 1 is ejected and you have no subs the game is over, you forfeit. It's the same scenerio if you bat 10 and have no subs but if you only have 11 in my mind it's better to keep 1 on the bench in reserve.
