sliding in to home

Question
Is there a rule in the ASA Rule Book stating that a runner has to slide in to home if a play could occure at the plate?

Answer
Local league rules may vary however there is NO "must-slide" rule that I am aware of in the ASA rule book.

Players however must avoid collisions whenever possible.  Deliberately causing a collision (in the umpire's judgment) will be grounds for immediate ejection. The judgement call as to whether to call a girl out for not sliding is:  揥as there a collision caused by the runner to gain an advantage??  If a runner avoids a collision and slows down or purposely avoids a collision they should not be called out for not sliding!
