Batting Box Dimensions

Our softball team plays at two different parks.  Our normal practicing/playing park has a different size batting box than our visiting park.  Can you tell me the dimensions of the batting box in ASA rules?  

If the batting boxes are different on the two fields ran by the same county should we request a rematch of the game as our girls were not use to not be able to be farther back behind the home plate?

Hi Deedra,

A regulation box is 3 feet wide by 7 feet long.  The inside lines shall be 6 inches from home plate.  The front line of the box shall be 4 feet in front of a line drawn through the center of home plate. (which makes the back line "about" 21/2 feet behind the plate)

During a game if we discover an error in pitching distance or base distances we simply correct the error and play on.    I'm sure at this point your situation is not protestable for a number of reasons.

I'm not sure how "short" you think the box was but remember if any part of the foot is touching the line it is considered in the box.
