moderate speed delivery

Question
tks.. i pitch in senior 55+ softball league. rule says pitcher delivers the ball at moderate speed. they keep telling me to slow the ball down.      I have the legal arc from 45 feet.  can anyone define moderate  speed???

Answer
Hi Jack,

Sorry...."moderate" speed is solely in the judgment of the umpire, if it's more than 1 umpire calling it you are probably on the higher side of moderate and need to slow it down a bit.  I would have to see it, but what do other players and umps say?
