Injured Player Batting Line Up

Question
QUESTION: I had my 2nd baseman (female) injured on a side play at second. We submitted the batting line up with 12 coed players. Once our second baseman got injured we were forced to pull her out of the game and line up. We did not have a replacement player for her. We moved one of our females up on the line up so that 2 men would not bat back to back. Should we had left the line up the same and took an out or should have put one of the females that did not bat yet in her place. What is the ruling on this. I know that you can start with 12 and end with 10 with no penalty due to injury. Is the game now a forfit because we change the batting order?

ANSWER: Hi Eric,

w/ 2 EPs (6 and 6)you're batting 12 and any 10 play defense.  If you lose 1 and have no sub, you simply take an out in the batting position each time it comes up.  You cannot move someone already listed in the line up to another spot. It would be a BOO if you do.

With 11 (6 and 5)I still don't see how that would make it not having 2 males bat back to back.

QUESTION: Would the game be a forfit?

ANSWER: Hi Eric,

No, you only way you forfeit is if a player is ejected (not disqualified or injured) and you don't have a sub.

If you had a female batting 10th and then moved them to batting 6th for the injured player it is simply batting out of order and those penalties apply.

QUESTION: Final question, now that the game is completed what is can you do. During the game both us and the official asked the other team if they wanted the out each time the player was due to bat. The other tam decline and wanted to finish the game under protest. What can be done now if anything?

Answer
Hi Eric,

I don't know what they're protesting, by rule you take an out you don't ask the other team.   If you had a BOO that's just a penalty for BOO if they appealed it.  there's nothing here to protest

Just saw your other question about rules, what rules are you needing, because i have no idea what they're protesting????
