Question
i am a coach of a 13 to 16 yearold fast pitch girls we have girls 12yearsold wanting to play up.they are willing to sign waivers/but still not shure what to do.if you have any answers or advice i would likr to hear from you thanks tim.

Answer
Hey Tim, thanks for your question.  I only wish I had the perfect answer for you.  It does sound like a problem your faced with.  Without knowing the quality of your 12 year olds in comparison to their older counter parts its impossible for me to provide you with a specific answer.

However, I will say that if "I" were in your position I would be VERY hesitant and reluctant to allow 12 year olds to play against 16 year olds.  Waivers are fine, but they are no replacement for safety, which should be your primary concern.

The ultimate decision is yours of course since you are there and familiar with their abilities, but just because they WANT to play doesn't necessarily mean that SHOULD.

Welcome to the wonderful world of coach-hood.
