How do I prevent blisters on my hands?

Question
Hey, I have a tendency to get blisters on the palm of my hand when I play for
club.  Is there a way to tape after getting a blister that is best?  And how long
should I keep it taped for?

Answer
Good afternoon Marisa and welcome to www.allexperts.com!

I have a question for you:  When do you get these blisters?  Is it from trying to dive for balls?  trying to pancake?  If so, YES, there is perfect solution and it's not tape. They are called skids, and they've been around for about 20 years.

If you google "Skid Volleyball palm protectors," then you'll see what I'm talking about.  When I played, I used them.  I think my first players used them in around 1994.  After you get used to them, you may say, "How did I ever play w/o them?"

What else can I do for you?  Just ask.  And please visit my website, www.coachhouser.com.  I think you'll LOVE the smiling faces!!
