Heddon split bamboo fly rod

Genuine Heddon tempered split bamboo 3 piece fly rod has the following written in script on it: #20, 8 1/2', 2F, HDH or E., Bill Stanley's favorite, and Heddon.  Original burgundy colored cloth sleeve w/ tag, cork handle w/ Pat. No 1807078.  Steel case has James Heddon on it as well.  Passed down three generations, very good condition.  Please assess value on rod if possible. We guesstimate rod is close to 80 plus y/o.

Price book: Antique & Collectible  Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book.
Homel gives the #20 "Bill Stanley" Heddon fly rod 8 1 /2'  with an extra tip, 3 sections the  value of  $70, 165 and $295 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.
If you rod shows any wear it is not in excellent condition including thread , straight sections, loss of finish etc.
