Shakespeare 1905 Reel & Rod Value - Identification & Appraisal
Question I have a 1905 Shakespeare reel model number HG and the rod model is 00 all original. I would like to know what year it is and how much it is worth please.

your shakespeare model 1905 was made in 1934 (H = 193x, G=4) This model was a low cost reel in its day, and is very common. They sell for $5-10, a little more with the box.
Are there any other markings on the rod? A photo would help.
