Answer
Hi Pat,

My reference book (D.B. Homel, 2003 edition)) lists an Abercrombie & Fitch fly rod called the "Touradif" which is no doubt the same model as yours.  You did not indicate rod length.  The only length listed is  7'0" model, two piece rod with two tips.

If your rod is the 7'0" model, has both tips, rod bag and rod tube and all sections are full length...and the rod is in excellent condition...the value would be in the $800-$1,000 range.

The Touradif model described in the book was built by E.W. Edwards (A&F did not actually build rods, they sold rods) one of the premier early rod builders, and is a fairly rare rod.  It would be in your best interest to find a reputable appraiser of vintage fishing gear and have the rod inspected and appraised.  Look locally or within your region of the country for an appraiser and take the rod to their location and ask to be present during the appraisal if possible.  You will learn quite a bit about the rod and will likely get a much better sense of value after an in person inspection.

Thanks,  Joe
