Joe. I'm looking for a spare tip for a tonkin prince HI rod that i have. can you help me source it. I could also use the original bag and tube for it. It has a good butt section. can be reached at . thanks. joe. matt

Hi Matt,

Sorry, I don't have one.  I do have a few spare sections for bamboo rods but not that one.

I try to keep an eye on the online auctions, flea markets, swap meets, garage sales and antique stores for old rods and old rod pieces.  It takes a wahile, but you seem to always run into what you need or something pretty close eventually.

You might also be able to locate a rod builder who can make you a replacement if you have one good tip to get measurements and taper information from.  If you have a bamboo rod builder in your locality, and you probably do but he may not advertise, I would check with that source first.

Also, there are some good bamboo rod discussion forums on the internet and some bamboo rod builder discussion groups as well.  You might find help from one of them.

The bag and the tube would be the same advice.  They may be harder to find in good or even usable condition.

Think of it as an early Easter Egg hunt.
